Bellabeads.net

My pieces are created primarily using handmade lampwork glass, semi-precious or precious stones, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals, which are made into earrings, bracelets and necklaces with sterling silver, 14K gold-filled, and vermeil wire and findings.   Many items are wire-wrapped, others are strung using the strongest non-kinking nylon-coated wire available.

About BellaBeads

I made my first beaded necklaces back in my hippie days in the late 60's.  Though I sold several in the local "head" shops, I soon became distracted by other crafts--candle making, sewing, crocheting, spinning, dyeing and weaving wool.  Nothing held my interest for long , though, until I decided to make a copy of one of my necklaces to go with a new outfit.  Suddenly I was turned on to the colorful world of beads, and an addiction was born.

My pieces were hits with friends and co-workers, and in the few small craft shows I did, so, gradually, in my spare time from my job as a mother-baby nurse at a Boston-area hospital, I have learned new techniques, and experimented with color combinations and materials, and come to the point where it makes sense to start a real business.
